Hot Stone Therapy
This CE course teaches students how to give a safe, effective and all-encompassing hot stone massage that provides a truly relaxing and therapeutic benefit to their clients. The course covers basic fundamentals of hot stone massage and includes the history, indications and contraindications, selection of massage oils, essential oils, preparation and cleansing of the stones along with various applications of hot and cold stones within the massage treatment. Understanding the energy flow of the meridians of the body provides a great introductory to Chinese meridian massage. In addition, many of the the mineral feature and benefits characteristic of basalt volcanic lava stones and gemstones provide a therapist with additional knowledge in performing this holistic service for their clients. |
